In high school, Ben wanted to be a professional baseball player, but a series of odd events kept him from achieving his dream. CrossFit Games offered him a new way to compete. Ben Smith, a CrossFit veteran and a former athlete, began CrossFit training at the tender age of 19. He has competed in every CrossFit game since 2009, and has finished at multiple ranks for ten consecutive seasons. In 2015, after seven years of dedication, he won the Fittest Man on Earth title. Smith was never outside of the top 10 at regionals over his seven year quest for the title. He won even two events.

Reebok CrossFit Games 2015 has seen a remarkable first day. As more athletes began to do double reps, endurance tests have seen a shift in the leaderboard. Amanda Miller's new workout was introduced at the Carson event. The winner was able double his reps. The US Team won the event with a margin of 93 point over the Canadian second-place team.
